When did a County Judge announce the first omicron death in the country?
When the news was made up
I came across this news from abcnew via reuters via msn. There are many unusual things with the reuters news:
A local news, Harris County, Texas, is reported out of Bengaluru, India
The source of the article seems to be a County Judge twit, as the twit is the only source provided for the strong words “the first local fatality from the variant”
Then the Judge is presented as a medical expert "Please - get vaccinated and boosted". Let’s forget about a Judge being a medical expert, shouldn’t a Judge be impartial after all? What if the Judge has a case related to deaths from or related to the omicron variant?
A Harris County Judge, Lina Hidalgo, posted yesterday on twitter:
Reading the Harris County Public Health press release: “Harris County Reports First COVID-19 Omicron Variant-Related Death. Unvaccinated man with underlying health conditions had tested positive for the Omicron variant. Harris County Public Health (HCPH) is reporting the first COVID-19 Omicron-variant-associated death in the County.“
It’s impressive how a County Judge so easily manipulates the words, as per the Judge “the first local fatality from the Omicron variant of COVID-19“, versus the Public Health release “First COVID-19 Omicron Variant-Related Death“. It is a huge difference between “fatality from” and “variant related death”.
This is not a professional Judge. She should not be a judge. For you own sake, if you come across this Judge, run away. Lucky for the Judge, I don’t have a twitter account to get this to her.
Off-topic, but important:
"... his team has been able to replicate international findings that HEPARIN can block the transmission of COVID-19 and prevent infection.
The spray coats the nose but does not go down into the lungs. The researchers say it is cheap, easy to distribute and is expected to be effective against mutant strains of the virus including the Omicron variant.
"It won't matter if a new variant comes along, this drug will block that protein from infecting the cells," Professor Campbell said.
"I'm very confident that we can demonstrate that it will work, and people will be using this before they go to the shops and before they go to school."
